• The fee for an online application is €50.

• Applicants making an online application may pay the application fee using a Credit or Debit Card (Visa or MasterCard).

• Mature applicants (those 23 years of age on or before the 1st of January 2026) and applicants who have qualifications other than the 1985-2026 Irish Leaving Cert and/or 2002-2026 QQI FET/FETAC Level 5/6 must complete the relevant sections of the application form and supply supporting documents to the CAO without delay. Documents may be uploaded to your application (see cao.ie/upload for instructions) or sent by post (see cao.ie/post for instructions) - do not do both.
