What are the restrictions?
If you are a mature applicant, some HEIs may impose restrictions on Change of Mind. Mature applicants should make enquiries from individual Admissions Offices before introducing new course choices after 1st February.
If you are thinking of applying for a restricted course, please note that you may not enter a restricted course using the Change of Mind facility*.
*Exception: you may be permitted to introduce a restricted course which shares the exact same assessment procedures with a course you had applied for by 1st February at 17:00 - you should consult with the relevant HEI before introducing such a course. -
Do I have to fill out the Level 7/6 list and the Level 8 list?
Applicants have the option to introduce 10 course choices on the Level 8 course list and 10 on the Level 7/6 course list, however you are not obliged to apply for 10 courses on each and you are not obliged to enter choices on both lists.
The choices that you make on one list will not affect the choices on the other list - the only time that you have to choose between the lists is if you receive an offer of a course from both lists. -
How do I add courses?
To add courses you:- Log in via the 'My Application' facility and go to add/change course choices.

How should I list my courses/what is genuine order of preference?
When entering your course choices, it is extremely important that you list your courses based on your genuine order of preference and not on assumptions about examination performance or what you think the points will be for a course.
This means putting your favourite course as number 1 on your course choices list, your second favourite course in second place and so on.

Can I still use Change of Mind if I have clicked the 'Confirm' box on my application?
Clicking on the confirm button will not prevent you from making changes to your course choices up to 1st July at 17:00.
If you make subsequent changes to your course choices via the Change of Mind facility, you should log back into your account to make sure that all of your courses are correct and listed in the preferred order of preference before the facility closes on 1st July at 17:00.
If the only item outstanding on your account is the supply to CAO of certified photocopies of grades in summer qualifications (see CAO Handbook) then you should click 'confirm' now.
