Available place guides: IMPORTANT: Application for an Available Place/Vacant Place course does NOT guarantee an offer for that course. Applicants must satisfy the Minimum Entry requirements as specified by the relevant HEI.
IMPORTANT: Mature applicants and applicants who have qualifications other than the Irish Leaving Cert and/or QQI FET/FETAC must contact the appropriate HEI before completing an available place application.

Existing Applicants
If you are a current-year applicant (i.e., you have a CAO Application Number beginning with '25'), you may make an available place application on-line without payment of a further fee.

New Applicants (for 2025 entry)
Persons who have already applied to the CAO for 2025 entry to ANY course (i.e., you have a CAO Application Number beginning with '25'), please use the 'Existing Applicant' facility above.
Persons who have not applied already (i.e. not a current-year applicant) may make an Available Place application on payment of a fee of €45.
